Philanthropy is a cornerstone of The Pillars Christian Learning Centers’ mission and values. We believe that giving back to the community is not only a responsibility but a privilege. By supporting local charities and mission-minded organizations, we strive to make a positive impact beyond our classrooms.
Our commitment to philanthropy is reflected in our ongoing partnerships with organizations such as Arms of Hope, Pursuit Church San Antonio’s Community Food Pantry, Compassion International, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the San Antonio Food Bank, and the Rise School. Through these efforts, we aim to foster a sense of compassion and service in our students, families, and staff, demonstrating the importance of helping others and building a stronger, more caring community.
Arms of Hope
Since 2012, The Pillars has made regular financial contributions to Arms of Hope, a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit Christian organization committed to assisting children and single-mother families in crisis. Through its innovative programs, Arms of Hope provides its residents with necessities and life skills to transform them into self-sustained, productive citizens. Also in 2012, The Pillars began sponsoring children at Medina Children’s Home, ensuring they receive Christmas gifts annually. In 2022, Boles Children’s Home was included in our Christmas initiative, broadening our outreach to the Dallas/Fort Worth region.
Pursuit Church
In 2022, The Pillars began supporting Pursuit Church SA’s Monthly Food Pantry through food collections and monetary donations. On a monthly basis, we send team members to volunteer and assist in organizing the food pantry. We are honored to back Pursuit Church and their mission to meet the basic needs of the community they serve.
Compassion International
The Pillars proudly sponsors multiple children through Compassion International, a Christian child-sponsorship program that connects donors with children in poverty through prayer, letter writing and financial support. In addition to financial sponsorship, our Mission Club students write letters to the sponsored children, study the regions in which the sponsored children live, and learn how we can positively impact the lives of others, even those half-way around the world.
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting blood cancer worldwide. Since its inception in 1949, LLS has invested over $1.7 billion in groundbreaking research and innovative approaches to cure blood cancers. LLS also provides support and information to patients and caregivers, and advocates for policies that improve access to care and treatment. In 2024, The Pillars began financially supporting LLS and their efforts to end childhood blood cancers through the Dare to Dream Program.
San Antonio Food Bank
Founded in 1980, the San Antonio Food Bank serves one of the largest service areas in Southwest Texas. Our focus is for clients to have food for today but to also have the resources to be self-sufficient in the future.
BOOST by HINGE
The Pillars is thrilled to offer financial support to BOOST by Hinge, an incredible organization dedicated to uplifting early childhood educators. These devoted professionals play a vital role in shaping the hearts and minds of our future leaders, often while facing significant emotional and financial challenges. BOOST provides critical financial support to early childhood teachers in times of crisis, empowering them to continue delivering the exceptional care our children deserve. Together with BOOST, The Pillars is committed to making a difference in the lives of these extraordinary educators.
Rise School
The Pillars proudly supports The Rise School, an all-inclusive school supporting children aged 12 months and older with developmental delays, including down syndrome and autism.
