The Pillars: Independence

Located in McKinney, Texas, The Pillars: Independence is a premier preschool providing academic and spiritual development to students and families.

In addition to our comprehensive early childhood programs, we proudly serve local elementary schools through our before and after school care for students up to age 12.

We also offer a variety of engaging camps designed to support families during school holidays, including our award-winning summer camp, as well as Spring Break, Thanksgiving Break, and Christmas Break camps.

My wife and I enrolled to this school as it was still being built. The second we saw it was Christian based it caught our eye. Looking at reviews from other locations we decided to give it a shot. Our son absolutely loves this school and all of the teachers. He is a toddler, and originally was with the infants, as the school was growing. They moved him as soon as possible to an older class as the school grew. And now he is in a class with all toddlers and it’s great to see the school growing! They do a fantastic job of updating you on everything with your kid. They are great with communication! They send lesson plans and points of emphasis in all they do. The last day care we went to kind of felt like “babysitting.” This is the complete opposite of that. They also coordinate events, plan parties and emphasize recognizing staff. That, and the lesson plans, are all centered around Christ. And ALL of it is done with an emphasis on developing your kid. Everyone is always SO excited to see our son. It’s also very secure and clean! We are so happy to have our son at The Pillars!
